Question
Answer
What is a System One model, and how does it differ from a traditional LLM?
A System One model is designed to make fast, structured decisions — like choosing an option or giving a score — and returns a typed answer with probabilities and confidence. In contrast, a traditional LLM writes free-form text, which your code must parse and validate. System One models are much quicker (milliseconds vs. seconds), can’t hallucinate because they only choose from your defined options, and are built to fit directly into automated systems.
